The Responsible Carrier Program (RCP) is a
Safety Management System that includes a series of line items
identifying certain policies, procedures and items of equipment which
must be in place before a company can be certified as being in
compliance with the RCP.
The Responsible Carrier Program is both detailed and comprehensive.
Proper implementation will assure a high quality operation, and should
result in a decrease in accidents and injuries and an increase in
profits. Being a “Responsible Carrier” is a condition of membership for
the American Waterways Operators (AWO).
Rushing Marine Service, L.L.C. provides the services of three AWO
Certified RCP Auditors that are available to conduct a variety of
services related to the RCP. These services include:

RCP Requirements
- Ongoing Involvement in Program
